Tech De·gen·er·ate
/tek/dəˈjen(ə)rət/
- noun
1. In modern, casual use, the term is sometimes used self-deprecatingly or humorously to describe someone who indulges in behavior that is seen as outside the norm, often with a focus on unusual hobbies or interests. For
example, a group of tech enthusiasts might jokingly call themselves "tech degenerates" to indicate their extreme passion for technology, to the point where it may be seen as eccentric or unconventional.
What we've been building:
Community
We've established an exceptional community that actively encourages transformation through radical positivity, meaningful collaboration, and empathetic service. Our community is made up of MSPs, VARs, MSSPs,
System Integrators, Vendors, Event Organizers, and all the stakeholders involved in 'The Channel'. Our primary objective is to drive personal and professional growth, with a distinctive focus on overlooked
aspects such as personal wellness. This aim extends beyond the common industry topics, serving as an engaging platform that prompts us all to strive for excellence in every area of our lives.
Education
One thing that sets our industry apart is the consistency and speed at which it develops in complexity. We all are constantly learning something. We would like to help share the knowledge, experience,
and best practices that can help us all raise the tide for each other regardless of where you are in your own journey, the size of your organization, or organizational maturity level. We all have
something to teach and we all have something to learn.
Consulting & Enablement
Every now and then we all could use a little help or outside perspective. The founders of The Tech Degenerates have a very unique diverse representation from all areas of the channel, a wide existing
influence in the market, and businesses that are truly still very active in the space. We have focused on building out consulting packages for MSPs as well as new and emerging vendors, consisting of
engagements to assist with stack advisement, peer groups, best practice implementation, speaking engagements, partner advisory councils, go to market strategies, and MDF/co-marketing usage.
Tools & Resources
There are a ton of existing tools and resources in our industry, but often they get lost in the noise, they aren't vendor agnostic, or they haven't been kept up with the evolving industry. We have begun creating
ones that drive more accountability, better cybersecurity practices, communications, utilization, efficiencies, and that help in match making those with a need with those with a solution in every part of
the channel. Aside from creating our own tools and resources, we will be providing a central place to help find the tools, resources, and additional communities out there beyond our own, so you can find
your tribe and sift through less on your own.
